Downtown Development Financing
Client: Berkley Investments
RKG Associates, Inc., was retained by a major developer to
help prepare a public/private financing strategy for the redevelopment of a
major failed project, known as the Outlet Commons, in downtown Worcester,
Massachusetts. The proposed new development would consist of over 2
million SF of new construction, to include approximately 900 housing units,
600,000 SF of medical office and R&D space as well as approximately 200,000
SF of retail and restaurants. RKG helped prepare an application for a $75
million bond issue to fund some of the unique demolition and infrastructure
costs associated with this project.
