Meet the Staff at RKG Associates, Inc. Mr. Gsottschneider founded RKG Associates, Inc. in 1981 and has over thirty years of economic consulting experience working primarily with real estate development, economic development, urban redevelopment, adaptive reuse and transportation projects. From a technical perspective, his expertise is in the areas of market research, financial analysis, economic and fiscal impact analysis, policy formulation and project management. Mr. Gsottschneider has written numerous articles that have been published in professional journals, and been a speaker at annual conferences of the American Planners Association, the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the International City Managers Association, the Counselors of Real Estate and the National Association of Installation Developers. He has lectured at the University of New Hampshire and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on real estate and economic development. He also served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Mr. Gsottschneider received both a Master's and B.A. in Resource Economics from the University of New Hampshire.
Mr. Hicks, the Executive Vice President at RKG Associates, has been a Principal since joining the firm in 1986. He has over 25 years of experience in municipal and statewide land use planning, the preparation of regional plans and economic studies, and the analysis of fiscal impacts associated with development proposals. A particular focus of his work in recent years has involved assisting communities and regional organizations across the country in preparing and implementing economic development strategies and redevelopment initiatives, especially for closed military bases. Mr. Hicks has also been responsible for managing outreach efforts to encourage public involvement in the planning process. Before joining RKG Associates, Inc. Mr. Hicks was the Executive Director of a regional planning agency, served as a Principal Planner with the New Hampshire Office of State Planning and as a Special Assistant with the Council of State Planning Agencies, an affiliate of the National Governors' Association. Mr. Hicks received a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech and a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Old Dominion University.
Mr. Seymour's primary area of expertise includes economic analysis, financial forecasting, strategic planning, feasibility analysis, real property valuation, and project management. He has nearly 20 years of extensive experience in economic development, the socioeconomic evaluation of major projects, community planning and redevelopment financing. As a Principal, his responsibilities include management of the firm's economic and financial oriented consulting services for both public and corporate clients, including the appraisal and research functions. Mr. Seymour, who joined the firm in 1987, is a licensed commercial appraiser and real estate broker.
Mr. Archambault, who now heads the firm's Washington, DC area office, joined RKG Associates, Inc. in 1994, and has over 10 years experience in community, economic development and strategic planning. Since joining RKG Associates, Inc., Mr. Archambault has applied his background to managing numerous projects in areas of comprehensive and land use planning, real estate market research and feasibility studies, local and regional economic analysis, military base reuse planning, and local economic development planning. Before joining RKG Associates, Mr. Archambault was the former Assistant Director of Community Development for the City of Laconia, New Hampshire and also served as project manager for the Virginia Tech Economic Development Assistance Center in Blacksburg, Virginia, providing economic and community development consulting services to Virginia communities.
Mr. Cranor joined RKG Associates, Inc. in 1992, after 15 years' experience in demography, marketing research, and retail site selection and competition studies. Mr. Cranor has applied this background to managing a broad range of assignments with RKG Associates, Inc. These assignments have included the areas of market/site research and economic and fiscal impact analyses for proposed retail and commercial businesses; downtown revitalization/marketing strategies; economic development; developing survey instruments; and appraisals on a variety of commercial, industrial and residential properties throughout New England.
Mr. Pulitzer joined RKG Associates, Inc. in 1991 and has appraised over $50 million in real property. Assignments include residential, commercial and industrial projects located in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine and Vermont. Mr. Pulitzer, a Certified General Appraiser, has also performed pricing and absorption trends, feasibility analyses, redevelopment alternatives, housing studies, highest and best use analyses and market research in many areas throughout New England. Prior to joining RKG Associates, Mr. Pulitzer was a real estate developer/contractor with more than 15 years of experience in acquiring, permitting and building commercial and residential properties.
Mr. Casino became a Project Manager for RKG Associates, Inc. in 1989. He specializes in land use planning and zoning, socio-economic research and analysis, military base reuse planning, and site analysis and feasibility planning. Combined with his prior professional experience Mr. Casino brings over ten years of local and regional planning expertise to the clients of RKG Associates. During his tenure with the firm, Mr. Casino has managed and worked on a variety of projects throughout New England and across the country. These assignments have included municipal master plans and zoning ordinances, environmental impact statements for major highway construction projects, and site analysis and feasibility studies for commercial, industrial, and institutional properties. Mr. Casino's responsibilities include management of the firm's geographic information system (GIS) services as well as the graphics department.
Mr. Talente joined RKG Associates in 1998, after receiving his Masters of City Planning and BS in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. Since joining the firm, Kyle has worked on a wide range of projects throughout the United States, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic and New England portions of the country. He brings our clients an extensive range of technical expertise in several facets of economic, market, and real estate analysis, as well as a strong understanding of sustainable planning principles. His work includes economic base analyses, downtown and regional market studies, housing market analyses, comprehensive and master planning, and local and regional economic development impact modeling, among others. Mr. Talente has recently become the newest project manager at RKG. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in regional economic development and recruitment for the Georgia Power Company and as a self-employed architectural designer/consultant. Kyle is based in our Alexandria, VA office.
Mr. Mochrie joined RKG Associates in 1999. He specializes in urban and regional planning with the preparation of local, regional and statewide plans, economic studies, and the analysis of fiscal impacts associated with development activities. The recent focus of his work has involved several aviation related projects involving the evaluation and analysis of the economic and real estate impacts around general aviation airports, as well as aviation system planning. Prior to joining RKG Associates, Mr. Mochrie worked for the Province of Manitoba's Department of Environment and provided consulting services to various public sector clients throughout Canada. He holds a BA in Geography from Laurentian University and a Masters in City Planning from the University of Manitoba.
Mr. Zahn has recently joined RKG Associates, Inc. with over eight years of experience working with local government providing business and management analysis. Specifically, he has worked on financial feasibility studies, infrastructure financing plans, fee programs, special tax formulas, financing sections of specific plans, economic impact studies, market studies, pro forma analysis, and general technical support. Before joining RKG Associates, Inc., Mr. Zahn worked as a Senior Associate with Economic and Planning Systems, Inc. (EPS). Mr. Zahn received an M.B.A. from the University of California at Davis and a B.A. in Political Science also from the University of California at Davis
